Commissioned by the Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology (KIOST), this project involves determining the route and installation methods for subsea cables connecting to its subsea demonstration facility. The scope covers the detailed design of power and communication cables to support the reliable operation of the Subsea Test Bed in Sinri Harbor, Sinam-ri, Seosaeng-myeon, Ulju-gun, Ulsan, Republic of Korea.
BANDI will develop the detailed design of the subsea cable system to ensure a reliable supply of power and communications to the Subsea Test Bed. The scope includes cable routing, specifications, burial and protection methods, landfall arrangements, and cable entry and connections to the subsea facility.
BANDI will also establish implementation plans covering installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and emergency repair, laying the groundwork for KIOST’s subsequent subsea cable installation works. This project will serve as a foundation for future energy infrastructure development.
